The Amur leopard
As with many animals that are going extinct, the main cause of their disappearance is humans and our need to hunt for trophies. The Amur leopard is one of those trophies. These graceful cats are critically endangered as there are only around 70 of them left in the world. Although the majority of these cats are in protected areas, there is no guarantee that the next generation will be able to gaze on their beauty, the closest that they might come to one of these guys is a stuffed-up version in a museum somewhere.
